3 Questions to Answer Before
You Look for a New Job |
|
Whether you're out of work or contemplating a change, rethinking what you want to do with your life can be a valuable experience. It's never too late to wonder, "What do I want to be when I grow up?" Here are three questions to ask yourself to help you define what's next:
- What are my talents? Some talents are evident when you're young; others emerge over time. Know what it is that you are inherently good at.
- What skills do I have? Skills are different from talents in that you have acquired them through learning and practice. Take stock of the skills you've developed over the years.
- What gets me out of bed? Figure out what motivates you to achieve. Whenever possible, you should find a way to do what you really like to do.
