It's been a long time to come back to my blog. I don't know how many days passed from last writing. I did just two things during those period.


Translating albeit
I got a request from my older brother's girlfriend. (I am close to her) She asked me if I wanted to have a albeit. The work I had to do was translating a article which was about 10 pages and related to management. I thought it was good because I could have 30 days to deal with it. I said I would take it.

After starting the work, I realized that I needed to know a lot of grammar knowledge. The author wrote in a complex way. He could have written it in a simple and clear way buy he didn't. Most of parts were 3 more combined sentences. So it was difficult for me.

Anyway, I could make it until d-day and I got the money. HAHA


Age of Conan
This is the game which recently comes out to Korea from abroad. If I say what kind of this game is, you can know just when you see how big this game is. It is 20+ GB. HAHA

To play it, I needed to download 20 GB.... the problem was that my bandwidth of internet speed is 1mb/sec. It means it takes 20000 seconds to download it.
20000 sec = 333.33 m = over 5 hours....
So I went to bed after I started downloading. HAHA

Anyway, this game has really good features. hmm.. I'll blog about it later.

욕망을 따라가자

약 3일간의 잉여인간 생활을 통해 느낀 건, 저마다 각자 원하는 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 살아가고 있다는 것. 이 각자의 욕구가 삶의 에너지가 된다. 원하는 것을 얻거나, 달성하거나, 하면서 살아가는 기쁨과 즐거움, 보람을 느끼는 거라 생각이 든다.

외부적인 요인이 아닌, 자신의 실수에 의해서 또는 자신의 귀차니즘에 의해 원하는 욕구를 충족시키지 못하면 여러가지 복잡한 감정이 일어난다. 그것은 분노일수도 있고 우울함일수도, 혹은 둘 다 일수도, 그 외의 감정일 수도 있다. 이 감정들은 확실히 부정적인 감정들이기 때문에 스스로에게 어떤 면에서든 좋지가 않다.

즉, 반대로 생각하면 굉장히 쉽다는 말이다. 뭐가? 자신을 행복하게 만드는 일이.

방법이 뭔가?
원하는 것을 하면 된다. 딱 두 가지만 지키면 행복이 가능하다.

먼저 방해받을 가능성이 있는 외부적인 위험에 대해서 가능한 한 통제를 하면 되는 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 발생하는 일들은 정말 어쩔 수가 없는 일이고, 나는 그것들을 막기 위한 노력을 기울이면 되는 것이다.

그리고 가장 중요한 건 Self-management.
자신의 실수와 귀차니즘, 습관들을 지워나가야 한다. 여기서 말하는 실수란 스스로의 욕구를 모르는 것을 말한다. 원하는 바가 무엇인지 정확히 모르기 때문에 무언가를 해도 욕구가 충족되지 않는다. 결국 버려진 건 시간이다. 그 행위를 통해 무엇을 이뤄냈을수도 있지만 원하는 것이 아니기 때문에 지속력과 흥미가 떨어진다. 원하는 것을 명확히 알아내야 한다.
두 번째, 귀차니즘은 굉장한 걸림돌이다. 사실 생각해보면 이것은 문제가 되지 않아야 한다. 내가 원하는 것을 하려고 하는데 귀차니즘이 생길리가 없질 않은가? 이것이 문제가 되는 경우는 내 욕구를 채우려고 하는 행위가 '일'이라고 생각을 할 때이다. 아무리 즐거울지라도 '일'은 스트레스를 동반한다. 무언가를 해야만 한다는 무언의 압박이 있다. 이런 경우에는 귀차니즘이 생길 수 있기 때문에 '일'의 범주로 생각하지 않고 '즐기려는' 순수한 마음가짐이 필요하다.
마지막 습관. 여러가지 습관들이 나의 행동을 제약할 수 있다. 특히 스스로를 편하게 하려는 습관들이 자신을 망친다. 휴식을 취할 때는 누워서 잠시 잠을 청하려는 나의 습관, 행동보다 말이 앞서는 나의 습관, 음식에 대한 편식하는 습관 등등. 긍정적이라고 하기 힘든 습관들은 욕구를 충족시키는데 있어서 확실히 부정적인 효과를 나타낸다.
이 3가지만 확실히 self management가 가능하면 욕구 충족이 가능하게 되는 것이다. 세상에 지름길은 없듯이 행복해지는 길도 꾸준히 걸어나가야 목적지에 도착할 수가 있다. 노력이라는 비용을 지불해야 하지만 self management에 지불하는 요금은 매우 가치있는 일이다. 행복으로 이르는 요금인데 뭐가 아까우랴.



좋다. 이제 나의 욕망 혹은 욕구를 생각하자.

1. 돈을 많이 벌고 싶다... 이는 분명히 욕구이긴 하지만 최상위 욕구는 아니다.
2. 취업을 하고 싶다... 이것도 분명한 욕구지만 최상위 욕구는 아니다.
3. 여자친구...... ㅋㅋㅋ 역시나 최상위는 아니다.
4. 똑똑해지고 싶다... 그렇다. 이것이 나의 최상위 욕구이다. 똑똑해져서 세상 만물을 이해하는데 어려움이 없고 싶다. 많은 것을 알고 싶다. 여러 상황에서 현명한 결정을 내릴 수 있는 지식과 지혜를 가지고 싶다. 내 지식으로 사람들에게 도움을 주고 싶다.
   

똑똑해지자.
이것이 나의 욕구다. 이것에 맞추어 계획을 짜면 된다.

똑똑해지는 것을 즐기자. 점점 똑똑해지는 일이 얼마나 즐거운 일인가? 하하하하하하

나 라별 행복만족도에 대해 서핑하다가 우연히 도착한 곳.
꽤나 좋은 자료가 많은 것 같다.

외환 관리사 시험을 쳤다

강의만 듣고 시험을 보러 갔다. 문제집을 샀지만, 볼 시간이 부족했던 것이다.
이유는 단지 준비를 늦게 시작했기 때문에...

시험을 보면서 깜짝 놀랐다. 생소한 내용들이 너무나 많았고, 객관식 문항들은 내용만 살짝 바꾸며 혼란을 가중시켰다.
시험은 그 내용에 대해 확실하게 알고 있지 못하면 결과가 좋을 수가 없는 것이다. 이를 위해 이론을 배우고 문제들을 풀며 연습이 필요하다. 연습을 하지 않아 좋은 결과를 기대할 수가 없다. 40분항을 50분에 풀어야 했는데, 이 정도 분량을 풀어내려면 각종 계산문제들을 포함해서 바로바로 답을 알아내야 했다.

시험을 끝마치고, 난생 처음 가 본 경기고등학교를 내려오면서 자괴감에 휩싸였다.
기회를 내 스스로 망친 것에 대해 어디다가 한풀이를 할 수도 없었다.

분노와 우울함.


100이 있다면 그 중에 60을 날려버린 것 같다.
나머지 40은 반드시 지켜야지.

시간을 생산적으로 보내기

오늘 가만히 컴퓨터에 앉아 스타를 즐기며 생각이 든건데 시간에 대한 생산성을 찾아야 한다.

가만히 살펴보면 버리고 있는 시간이 너무도 많다. 버리는 시간의 대부분은 대게 인터넷에 사용된다. 그리고 게임이 그 뒤를 이을거라 생각이 든다. 얼마나 많은 시간을 소비하는지는 측정하지 않아 가늠하기 쉽지 않다만 생각보다 훨씬 클 것이다.

그럼 어떻게 생산적으로 시간을 활용할 수 있을까. 답은 간단한 것 같다. 무언가를 하기 전에 그것에 대한 의미를 한번 생각해 보는 것이다. 이 행위를 통해 내가 과연 무엇을 얻을 수 있을까?라는 질문이 생산적인 시간 활용의 길을 열어 줄 것이다.

좀 더 구체적으로 생각해보자.

1. 먼저 하고 싶은 일과 해야만 하는 일에 대한 목록을 작성한다.
2. 목록에 대해 중요도를 메긴다.
3. 중요도 순으로 일을 진행한다.

이 세가지만 지키면 미래는 창창하다. 하지만 반드시 문제가 생긴다. 우선순위에만 몰두하면 너무 힘들어진다. 하고 싶은 일은 상관이 없지만 어쩔 수 없이 해야하는 일 또는 필요에 의해 하는 일의 경우에 금방 피곤해 질 수 있다는 얘기다. 그 때에는 휴식이 필요하다. 휴식을 취할 때는 한 가지만 명심하고 지키면 될 것이다. 이 한 가지만 지킨다면 더이상의 장애물은 존재하지 않는다.

시간을 정해놓고 쉴 것!



계획을 세우지 않고 일을 진행하는 것은 실패를 계획하는 것과 같다고 했다. 계획을 세우고 또 세우자. 그리고 실행하자.
